Jeevitha Rajashekar to make a comeback in Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s next

After a 3-decade long hiatus from the limelight, actor and filmmaker Jeevitha Rajashekar will be acting in Lal Salaam, Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s upcoming directorial, which is headlined by Rajinikanth. Jeevitha will be seen playing Rajinikanth’s sister in the film. According to sources, Jeevitha will be joining the sets of Lal Salaam in Chennai from March 7 onwards. Lal Salaam also stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in prominent roles. 

Lal Salaam is produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, with music composed by AR Rahman. Aishwarya, the older daughter of Rajinikanth, started her career as a filmmaker with the 2012 feature 3. She later went on to direct Vai Raja Vai (2015) and Cinema Veeran (2017), a documentary. In addition to direction, she has also had a brief stint as a playback singer. 

Jeevitha is an erstwhile actress in Tamil and Telugu cinema in the 80s. She retired from acting post her marriage to fellow actor Rajashekar and went on to be a producer and director of Telugu films like Sheshu (2002), Satyameva Jayate (2009) and Shekar (2022), all of which feature her husband in lead role.
