Following the constant request of the fans, director Vetri Maaran has finally shared updates about the sequel to his 2018 hit film Vada Chennai.
Speaking at the trailer and audio launch of Ragahava Lawrence’s upcoming film Rudhran, Vetrimaaran reiterated that he has two films to be shot, i.e., Viduthalai Part 2 and Vadivasal, after which he will start working on Vada Chennai 2. It is to be noted that the director previously updated his fans with the same information during the audio launch event of Viduthalai Part 1.
Vetri Maaran’s latest film Viduthalai Part 1 features Soori as the lead and Vijay Sethupathi in a prominent role. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Chethan and Bhavani Sre. It has music composed by Ilaiyaraaja with cinematography by Velraj. The second part of the film is expected to be released later this year.
Vada Chennai was released in 2018 and the gangster drama starring Dhanush, Ameer and Samuthirakani ended with a lead to a sequel, which has been titled Vada Chennai 2 Anbuvin Ezhuchi.
