Actor Vijay Sethupathi is set to team up with director M Manikandan for an upcoming Tamil web series, the makers announced on social media on Friday. The yet-to-be-titled series, which will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar, will mark the actor’s maiden series in Tamil language. The project was launched on Friday with an inaugural ceremony.

While the rest of the information on the plot and cast members are kept under wraps, the series will be backed by 7Cs Entertaintment. The technical crew consists of Rajesh Murugesan on the music and Jackson as art director.

It is to be noted that the upcoming series is the third time Vijay Sethupathi and Manikandan are collaborating after Aandavan Kattalai and Kadaisi Vivasaayi.

Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi has earlier worked in Hindi web series Farzi alongside Shahid Kapoor for Raj & DK. The actor was last seen in Viduthalai-Part 1, directed by Vetri Maaran. The film hit the theatres on Friday and opened to positive reception.
