The trailer for The Greatest Beer Run Ever, starring Zac Efron in the lead, has been released online. The film, based on real-life events, is an adaptation of the book The Greatest Beer Run Ever: A Memoir of Friendship, Loyalty, and War, written by Donohue and Joanna Molloy. The film tells the story of one man’s quest to share a beer with his friends who are fighting in the Vietnam war, he braves the carnage and chaos of a battlefield to find his friends and share a beer with them.
The film is directed by Peter Farrelly and will premiere in select theatres and on the Apple+ streaming platform. The Greatest Beer Run will be screened at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival in September.
The director, Peter Farrelly, is best known for directing Dumb and Dumber and Green Book, which won the Academy Award for best picture at the 2018 Oscars. Apart from Zac Efron and Russell Crowe, the film also stars Bill Murray, Jake Picking, Will Ropp, Archie Renaux, and Kyle Allen.
