England vs New Zealand, 2nd Test Day 3 Live Score Updates: Joe Root hit his second century in as many matches but England lost Ollie Pope and Jonny Bairstow in quick succession on Day 3 of the ongoing second Test against New Zealand, who had posted 553 on the board. Root carried on his brilliant form, after hitting a match-winning ton in the first Test. Pope made a brilliant 145 before falling prey to Trent Boult, who also sent Bairstow packing. Earlier, Alex Lees fell after hitting a half-century of his own. Lees and Pope had taken England’s score to 90/1 at stumps on Day 2. Earlier, Trent Boult had struck early for New Zealand as he removed Zak Crawley with the final ball of the second over. Earlier, Daryl Mitchell played a 190-run knock while Tom Blundell scored 106 as New Zealand posted 553 runs on the board in the first innings of the ongoing second Test against England at Trent Bridge.
