While speaking at an event in Mumbai on Friday, India captain Rohit Sharma revealed that the movie he recently watched is ’12th Fail’. Reacting to it host of the event Mandira Bedi said, “Very inspiring film.” For the unversed, 12th Fail is a realistic and restrained adaptation of a book of the same name. The film, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, centres on a young man, a struggling Hindi medium student, who makes the journey from a lawless Chambal village to the top echelons of the police force, inevitably hitting many a daunting roadblock on the way. While the movie starring Vikrant Massey got a great response from the crowd, Rohit too decided to take out some personal time and watch it.
Vikrant Massey reacted on Rohit’s review with a series of emojis.

An atta chakki (gristmill) stands out in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail. It serves as a potent, if tangential, metaphor for the gruelling grind that the hard-to-crack Indian Civil Services examinations entails. But there is much, much more to the biographical drama enlivened by inspired directorial touches.
Talking about Rohit Sharma, he had also opened up about leading the Indian side and role he plays for the national team as skipper at the same event. Rohit stated that as a captain he tries to build confidence and trust in players.
The India captain cherishes the role’s numerous facets, including making strategic judgments on the field and managing individual players’ personalities off the field. Rohit stated that he try his best to have personal interactions with each player, and as a leader, it is necessary to treat everyone equally and with significance.
Rohit will be seen on ground again from February 15 when India resume their five-match Test series against England.
The hosts suffered their fourth home Test defeat in a decade in Hyderabad, as visitors overwhelmed the Rohit-led side thanks to a superb 196-run effort by Ollie Pope and a fantastic performance on Day 4 by debutant Tom Hartley, who picked up seven wickets.
However, India responded in Vizag with a 106-run triumph, levelling the five-match series at 1-1. With the five-match series levelled at 1-1, the action now heads to Rajkot for the third Test, starting February 15.
