The meta-comedy Reboot has been cancelled after one season. The Disney-controlled streamer Hulu has opted to cancel the scripted comedy series from Modern Family co-creator Steve Levitan.

The first and only season of the series consisted of eight episodes and debuted on the streamer last September.

According to reports,  the show creator Steve Levitan is hoping to find a new home for the comedy produced by Disney’s 20th Television.

Reboot is about the dysfunctional cast of an early 2000s hit sitcom, Step Right Up, who must face their unresolved issues and navigate a vastly different media and entertainment environment when a young writer successfully pitches a reboot of their show.

Starring Keegan-Michael Key, Johnny Knoxville, Judy Greer, Rachel Bloom and Calum Worthy, Reboot has Steve Levitan, Danielle Stokdyk and Jeff Morton serving as the executive producers.
