Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, 2nd Test, Day 2 Highlights: Dimuth Karunaratne is unbeaten on 70 as Sri Lanka ended Day 2 at 143/2 against Bangladesh in the ongoing second Test, still trailing by 222 runs at Shere Bangla National Stadium, For Sri Lanka, Oshada Fernando also played a knock of 57 runs. Earlier, race bowler Kasun Rajitha claimed his maiden five-wicket haul as Sri Lanka bowled out Bangladesh for 365 on the second day of the second Test on Tuesday. In reply Sri Lanka got off to a fine start thanks to a 95-run partnership between Oshada Fernando and Dimuth Karunaratne for the opening wicket. Fernando, however, fell to Ebadot Hossain for a well-made 57. Sri Lanka suffered another setback with Shakib Al Hasan removing Kusal Mendis for 11. But Karunaratne held fort from the other end, also reaching his half-century. Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim was unbeaten on 175 when last man Ebadot Hossain was run out for a duck shortly after lunch for the hosts. Ebadot’s was the sixth duck of the Bangladesh innings, the joint highest in Test history. Rajitha ended with figures of 5-64 while Asitha Fernando took 4-93. (LIVE SCORECARD)
