First look of Hijack out

The first look of Hijack, the upcoming seven-part thriller, was released. The series features SAG Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Idris Elba, who is also the executive producer. The first two episodes will premiere on June 28. It is created by George Kay and Jim Field Smith, who also wrote and lead-directed the series. It also stars Emmy Award and NAACP Image Award winner Archie Panjabi.

According to the streaming platform, the logline reads, “Told in real-time, Hijack is a tense thriller that follows the journey of a hijacked plane as it makes its way to London over a seven-hour flight, and authorities on the ground scramble for answers.”

The series has Elba as Sam Nelson, an accomplished negotiator in the business world who needs to step up and use all his guile to try and save the lives of the passengers — but his high-risk strategy could be his undoing. He is on the ground when the plane is hijacked and becomes part of the investigation.  Hijack also features Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimée Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel and Ben Miles.
