The first look poster for the upcoming Super Mario Bros film has been released online. Nintendo has announced that the teaser for the film will be releasing on 6 October, and the teaser trailer will stream on Nintendo Direct.
The computer-animated film will be co-directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, they both had previously worked on developing the DC animated show Teen Titans Go! Chris Pratt plays Marion in the film while Anya Taylor-Joy plays Princess Peach. The rest of the voice cast includes Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, Fred Armisen, Kevin Michael Richardson, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Charles Martinet.
The yet-to-be-titled film will be the third addition to the feature-length adaptation of the popular video game franchise. The film is based on a screenplay written by Matthew Fogel, who’s known for writing for films like Minions: The Rise of Gru and The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.
The film is currently scheduled to release on 7 April 2023.
