Netflix has released the the first looks and teaser of its upcoming series The Night Agent. The series is set premiere on March 23.

The upcoming series follows the life of a low-level FBI agent whose nights are spent by working in the basement of The White House, in charge of a phone line for undercover spies that never rings. But one day, it rings, setting a chain of events in motion that lead up to a revelation.

The Night Manager is created by Shawn Ryan. It is based on Matthew Quirk’s bestselling novel of the same name, which Ryan read at the beginning of quarantine in 2020.

The series is headlined by Gabriel Basso and who plays Peter Sutherland.

“Peter doesn’t exist in the novel as some kind of unbeatable killing machine superhero. He’s an FBI agent, so he has some training, but he’s not Jason Bourne. He’s not a trained assassin. He’s very much an underdog in the middle of all this. He’s someone who, when he’s in a fight, those bruises stick around. He’s not just miraculously recovered immediately afterwards,” says Ryan.

The Night Agent also feature Basso, Buchanan, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Eve Harlow, Enrique Murciano, Phoenix Raei, DB Woodside and Oscar nominee Hong Chau.
