We had earlier reported that Jamie Foxx was working with Netflix on Back in Action. The latest update is that the actor has wrapped up production ahead of schedule owing to health complications.
Foxx was recently rushed to the hospital on April 11 to address a health scare, and hasn’t returned to the set since, reports aceshowbiz.com.
While Foxx has eight days of shoot left, the makers have decided to wrap up the filming by next week without making him come on sets. They are planning to go ahead with stand-ins when required, and scene changes in others, reports TMZ.
It was Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, who broke the news of her father’s medical emergency but didn’t disclose the exact details about the same.
“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” wrote Corrinne on her social media page.
Meanwhile, social media is abuzz with fans and celebrities expressing their prayers for his swift recovery.
Apart from Jamie Foxx, Back in Action also stars Cameron Diaz, who is making her acting comeback after a sabbatical.
