Jordan Alexandra, Andrew Gower and more join The Winter King

Jordan Alexandra, Steven Elder, and Andrew Gower will join Iain de Caestecker, Eddie Marsan, Ellie James, and Nathaniel Martello-White in the upcoming series, The Winter King. The filming of the Arthurian-based drama series has already been wrapped up.

Jordan Alexandra will be playing the leading lady Guinevere in the new production that took place in the United Kingdom. She stars alongside Steven Elder as Bishop Bedwin and Andrew Gower as Sansum. Additional cast members include Aneirin Hughes, Emily John, Tatjana Nardone, Ken Nwosu, and Billy Postlethwaite.

Previously announced cast members include, Iain de Caestecker, who stars in The Winter King as protagonist Arthur Pendragon. Eddie Marsan portrays High King Uther, Ellie James plays Nimue, and Nathaniel Martello-White portrays Merlin.

The new adaptation of The Winter King is based on the fictional trilogy series The Warlord Chronicles by Bernard Cornwell. The series is a re-imagining of the Arthurian legend. The Winter King will focus on the journey of Arthur Pendragon, narrated by one of his followers. Arthur is an outcast who becomes a legendary warrior and leader in 5th-century Britain. 

The Winter King does not have an official release date yet.
