Josephine Bornebusch to star and direct Let Go

Netflix has announced a Swedish drama, Let Go, directed by and starring Josephine Bornebusch. According to the makers, it is a drama about finding what really matters. The logline reads, “In the center is Stella (Josephine Bornebusch). She has everything under control… except her preschool son’s constant need for attention, her daughter’s teenage mood swings, and her emotionally unavailable husband. The family is about to break when Stella receives a message that changes everything. She decides to take a trip with her family where she has to achieve the impossible – to bring her family together again.”

Borebusch, in a statement, noted that she has a penchant for writing about “recognition, families, and life in its most ordinary moments – with all that it entails.” “Sorrow, happiness, love, and betrayal. I met with Netflix at a very early stage when this story came to me. They believed in the project as much as I did and encouraged me to dig deeper. I’m so happy that we’re now realizing the film together, with the potential to reach far and wide. It’s finally happening,” she added. While the film is set to premiere on Netflix in 2024. the additional cast and further details about the project are yet to be announced.
