Por Thozhil, starring Ashok Selvan and Sarath Kumar, is receiving widespread praise. Notably, filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj recently expressed his admiration for the film.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Karthik wrote, “Por Thozil is an awesome seat-edge thriller. Well written and very well made. Super performance by Sarath Kumar sir and Ashok Selvan. Great job, director, Vignesh Raja and the whole cast and crew.”
Directed by debutant filmmaker Vignesh Raja, the film also stars Nikhila Vimal in a significant role. The story revolves around a veteran cop Loganathan, played by Sarathkumar, and newbie Prakash, played by Ashok, who investigate a series of murders committed by the same person. Vignesh Raja has written Por Thozhil along with Alfred Prakash.
The film’s technical crew includes Kalaiselvan Sivaji as the cinematographer, Sreejith Sarangm as the editor, and Jakes Bejoy as the music composer.
The film is attached to Applause Entertainment studio, which marks its maiden Tamil project with Por Thozhil. The banner behind projects like Scam 1992 and Zwigato produced the film in association with E4 Experiments and Eprius Studio.
