Locke & Key-star Laysla De Oliveira is all set to star alongside Zoe Saldana in Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming series Lioness.
Created by Sheridan, Lioness is set to be written and showrun by Tom Brady. The story follows Joe (Saldana), the station chief of the titular Lioness CIA program. The program was created to respect the local customs of Middle Eastern countries by having female soldiers search local women as opposed to male recruits. Joe oversees the undercover military group in their mission to take down some of the world’s most dangerous terrorists
Actor Nicole Kidman executive produces the series through her production company, Blossom Films. The filming of the series is set to begin in June.
De Oliveira is best known for her role as Dodge in Netflix’s Locke & Key. The actor is also known for starring in Guest of Honour, In the Tall Grass, 2018’s indie-romance film Acquainted, and John Ridley’s Needle in a Timestack.
