Former Indian captain MS Dhoni is now venturing into film production, sources in the Tamil film industry said. It is reported that Nayanthara will be playing the lead role in the film.
Dhoni, according to sources, has already roped in Sanjay, one of the closest aides of Rajinikanth. Sources said that Sanjay has given the tip-off to Dhoni that roping in Nayanthara for his debut movie will augur well for him in the Tamil film industry. The possibility of Dhoni playing a cameo role in the movie is also not ruled out.
Meanwhile, Nayanthara has projects coming up in multiple languages. Last seen in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, the actor has O2 directed by debutant S Viknesh and Ashwin Saravanan’s Connect lined up in Tamil. In Malayalam, she has the Alphonse Puthren directorial Gold while in Telugu she will be starring alongside Chiranjeevi in Godfather. She is also reportedly making her Hindi debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film directed by Atlee.
