With Ponniyin Selvan II all set to hit theatres on April 28, the makers have speeded up their promotional activities. On Friday, the makers announced that the Ponniyin Selvan anthem will be released by music director AR Rahman at Anna University on April 15.

Directed by Mani Ratnam, Ponniyin Selvan is adapted from Kalki’s novel of the same name. The film’s first part was released in September last year. The film features an ensemble star cast including Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Rahman, Jayaram, and Karthi, among others.
Penned by Mani Ratnam, along with Jeyamohan and Kumaravel, the film is backed by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies.
Ponniyin Selvan‘s technical team comprises Ravi Varman as the cinematographer, while Sreekar Prasad handled the editing. Thotta Tharani has handled the art design for the film.
