A limited series based on Tanya Selvaratnam’s memoir titled Assume Nothing is being developed by Amazon Studios. The series will be executive produced by Joanna Coles Production, Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ Purple Pebble Pictures, and ABC Signature. Chopra Jonas will also likely star in the adaptation.
Mimi Won Techentin will adapt and show run Assume Nothing. In the memoir, Tanya recounts the intimate abuse she suffered from former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. She used her story as a prism to examine the domestic violence crisis plaguing America. Tanya Selvaratnam will serve as a producer on the film.
Selvaratnam has other projects in production for Aubin Pictures and Story Syndicate. She is an Emmy-nominated and multiple Webby-winning filmmaker. She is also the author of The Big Lie.
Chopra Jonas will be seen next in Citadel, Prime Video series directed by the Russo Brothers for Amazon Studios. She will star alongside Richard Madden in the series. She is also awaiting the release of Love Again which is expected to hit theatres on May 12.
