Actor Rajinikanth who is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film Jailer, took some time off to shower praises for the recently released Tamil film Ayothi, starring director-actor Sasikumar.
Taking to social media, Rajinikanth, who had shared the screen space with Sasikumar in Petta, said, “After a long time, my friend Sasikumar got to do a message-oriented film. The director of the film, Manthira Moorthy, proved himself to be a fine filmmaker. I convey my best wishes to the makers of Ayothi.”
Ayothi marks the directorial debut of Manthira Moorthy. Apart from Sasikumar, Ayothi also stars Yashpal Sharma, Preethi Asrani, and Pugazh, among others. The film is an emotional thriller about the religious divide among people which prevents them from helping each other.
The technical crew of Ayothi consists of Madheshmanickam as the cinematographer, and San Lokesh handling the edits. The music is composed by NR Ragunanthan and G Durai Raj is the art director. The film is bankrolled by R Ravindran’s Trident Arts banner.
Ayothi is currently streaming on ZEE5.
