The adulation for RRR refuses to die down. After winning the hearts of several western filmmakers and critics, including Christopher Miller, C Robert Cargill and Richard Bordy, to name a few, the SS Rajamouli-directed epic actioner has two new fans: Scott Derrickson and James Gunn.
Derrickson, the director of Sinister, Doctor Strange and the recently released The Black Phone, shared that he watched the film with his family as a part of his birthday celebrations and enjoyed it, calling it an “awesomely outrageous roller coaster of a movie”. Here’s the tweet:

When a Twitter user quote tweeted Derrickson’s tweet and recommended James Gunn to watch the film, the Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad filmmaker responded saying that he has seen the film and has “dug it.”

RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles is a fictional action tale set against the backdrop of the Indian independence movement. The film was released in March and went on to become the biggest hit of the year.
