The third season of Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias will premiere on July 20 on the streamer. Along with announcing the release date of the season, Netflix also released several first-look images from the series’ third season. The series is adapted from Sherryl Woods’ novel of the same name.
Sweet Magnolias, set in a small town called Serenity, revolves around three lifelong best friends. Joanna Garcia’s Maddie, Dana Sur portrayed by Brooke Elliot and Heather Headley’s Helen are the lead actors of the series.
Season two ended with Dana Sue reuniting with her ex-husband Ronnie, only to be threatened by a mysterious woman named Kathy. It also concluded with the demise of Miss Frances, the original owner of the home in which The Corner Spa is located.
In season 3, Maddie will work out her issues with Cal (Justin Bruenig) while Dana Sue will have to see what to do with the money left behind by Miss Frances. Meanwhile, Helen will have to make a choice from the men in her life. The identity of the serial tire slasher is also expected to be revealed in this season.
Chris Klein, Jamie Lynn Spears, Carson Rowland, Logan Allen, and Chris Medlin round out the cast of Sweet Magnolias. Sheryl J. Anderson serves as the showrunner of the series.
