Tom Holland, one of the actors who have portrayed Spider-Man in Hollywood films, gave an update about the next chapter in the Marvel franchise and status on the next Spider-Man film. The actor was speaking at the premiere of his new Apple TV+ show The Crowded Room in New York City.

Though he did not revealing much, Tom said that he has “been having meetings” about the next chapter in the Marvel franchise. However, the works are on hold due to the ongoing writers’ strike.

“I can’t talk about that, but I can say that we have been having meetings. We’ve put the meetings on pause in solidarity with the writers. There’s been multiple conversations, but at this point it’s very, very early stages,” Tom was quoted as saying.

It is to be noted that earlier Spider-Man producer Amy Pascal had said that they will be making another film with the superhero, but have hit a pause in solidarity with the writers.

Meanwhile, The Crowded Room will star Tom as Danny Sullivan, a man who is arrested following his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979. The show will premiere on June 9.
