The trailer of Modern Love Chennai, the upcoming Tamil anthology chapter of Chennai, was released by the makers on social media on Thursday. The anthology will premiere on Prime Video on May 18.
It is the third Indian adaptation of Modern Love, the internationally acclaimed original anthology helmed by John Carney, following Modern Love Mumbai and Modern Love Hyderabad.
The trailer of Modern Love Chennai shows glimpses of several romantic encounters between its characters, some of them quirky, heart-warming, and portrays thoughts of different personalities. Modern Love Chennai will bring six stories directed by Bharathiraja, Balaji Sakthivel, Rajumurugan, Krishnakumar Ramakumar, Akshay Sundher, and Thiagarajan Kumararaja. It is produced under the banner of Tyler Durden And Kino Fist, with Thiagarajan Kumararaja as the creator.
Sean Roldan, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Ilaiyaraaja and GV Prakash Kumar have composed the music for the anthology. The series features Ashok Selvan, Ritu Varma, Kishore, Ramya Nambessan, Vijayalakshmi, TJ Bhanu, among others.
