The streaming platform ZEE5 has acquired the post-theatrical OTT streaming rights of Ajith’s Thunivu, directed by H Vinoth. The mega-budget actioner co-starring Manju Warrier will be hitting the screens on Pongal.
The streamer, which gained foothold in the South by producing originals like Vilangu and acquiring the rights to films like Valimai, will also be digitally presenting South-Indian films in the making like King of Kotha featuring Dulquer Salman in Malayalam, Katharbasha Endra Muthuramalingam starring Arya in Tamil, Ranganayaka starring Jaggesh in Kannada and Vimanam (Tamil & Telugu bilingual) starring Samuthirakani.
Thunivu, produced by Boney Kapoor, was censored yesterday and the film got a U/A certification from the board.
