Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine has truly set the Indian Premier League (IPL) on fire with his breathtaking knocks at the top of the batting-order. The West Indian scored 47 and 85 in the last two matches for his franchise, repaying the trust the KKR management has shown in him. Narine, who also remains active on social media, shared an intriguing Instagram story about the Royal Challengers Bengaluru franchise that has the fans talking. It was a fan post that Narine shared, setting social media abuzz.
In the post, the fan claimed that Narine said he likes to hit runs against RCB as the franchise’s bowling attack is usually weak. “I like to score runs against RCB as their bowling is weak”, the post read.
While no such comment was made by Narine after the match, the fact that he shared the post on Instagram himself left many baffled. Here’s the post:
Many fans were left stunned seeing Narine share the post on his official Instagram account.
Narine was the Player of the Match after KKR’s win over RCB. After the game, he had said: “It’s a nice milestone (500 T20s). Hopefully 500 more to come. It’s just the self belief and the support staff giving the encouragement. Also the hard work. Powerplay over is the hardest over – just have to let that go and keep it tight. Helps when you win. Players have full freedom to do what they want to do.”
Narine was named the Player of the Match for KKR’s win over Delhi Capitals too. After that win, the West Indian all-rounder had said: “Cricket is all about batting, so to contribute with the bat is pleasing but I also enjoy my bowling. (On batting down the order with Abu Dhabi Knight Riders) We had sufficient batters, so opening was not needed then. At the end of the day, it is about what the team requires. Batting with Salt is good, he takes the pressure off me so it’s good to bat with him. On a good wicket like that, we bowled well and were on the money, so a total team effort from us tonight.”
