Actor Elizabeth Banks will star in the upcoming film titled The Beanie Bubble, directed by Kristin Gore and Damain Kulash. The film will also feature Zach Galifianakis, Sarah Snook, Geraldine Viswanathan, and Kurt Yaeger.
The Beanie Bubble is a period drama, set against the backdrop of the 80s and 90s. It will revolve around the rise and success of the toy company Beanie Babies, told through the perspective of three woman protagonists. Elizabeth’s Robbie will be one among them, along with another toy enthusiast and mother of two. Sarah and Geraldine will play the role of tech genius. The film will explore the craze around toys, including how the internet influenced the demand for Beanie Babies.
The film will have music by Damian Kulash and Nathan Barr. It will hit the theaters on July 21.
