Netflix to develop limited series based on John F Kennedy's life 

Streaming giant Netflix is at works developing a limited series based on the life of former US President John F Kennedy. It will be based on the book JFK: Coming Of Age In The American Century, 1917-1956, authored by Fredrik Logevall.

The book is the first of the planned two-part which paints the picture of Kennedy's life, from his birth to his duration as junior Senator. The series will be written and executive produced by Eric Roth. Roth has previously won the Academy Award for best adapted screenplay for Forrest Gump and is known for his works in films like Munich, A Star Is Born and Dune.

Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping will also serve as executive producers under the banner Chernin Entertainment. While a cast and show runner is yet to be attached to the project, it is expected that it will be on the lines of The Crown series which chronicles the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

Apple TV+ releases trailer of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters

Apple TV+ launched the trailer of its upcoming series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, which is based on Legendary's Monsterverse. The series will premiere on November 17 with two episodes, followed by one episode releasing every Friday until January 12.

The cast includes Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Anders Holm, Joe Tippett and Elisa Lasowski, among others.

The series is set in the same universe as the Godzilla and Kong films. Monarch: Legacy of Monsters will be covering three generations and focus on the aftermath of the batttle between Godzilla and Titans. Two siblings are en route to unravel their family's connection to a secret organisation called Monarch. As each step draws them near to the monsters, the series will follow how the siblings can rescue the threatened Monarch.

The series is developed by Chris Black and Matt Fraction, with Matt Shakman directing the first two episodes. Attached to the Legendary Television, all of them serve as executive producers alongside Andy Goddard, Brad Van Arragon, Andrew Colville and Safehouse Pictures’ Joby Harold and Tory Tunnell.
