All Of Us Strangers gets an India release date

All of Us Strangers, starring Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott in lead roles, is all set to release in theatres in India on March 8. The film, which was released globally on December 22, has been receiving critical acclaim. The film also stars Claire Foy and Jamie Bell.

All Of Us Strangers is an adaptation of Taichi Yamada’s 1987 Japanese novel Strangers. It is to be noted that the novel Taichi Yamada penned in 1987 was already made into a Japanese language film in 1988. The upcoming film follows the storyline of the novel but takes place in present-day London instead of 1980s Tokyo.

The official logline of the film reads, "One night in his empty tower block in contemporary London, Adam (Andrew Scott) has a chance encounter with his neighbour Harry (Paul Mescal) that punctures the rhythms of his everyday life. As Adam and Harry get closer, Adam is pulled back to his childhood home, where it appears his long-dead parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) are both living and look the same age as the day they died 30 years before."

Liam Neeson's Naked Gun Reboot gets a release date

A long-pending reboot of the Naked Gun franchise with Liam Neeson is finally moving forward at Paramount, landing a release date of July 18, 2025. The film was first announced back in 2022.

The currently untitled project will be directed and executive produced by Akiva Schaffer, who co-wrote the draft script alongside Dan Gregor and Doug Mand, reprising their partnership from the Emmy-winning film Chip ‘N Dale: Rescue Rangers.

In 2014, reports of a reboot cropped up, with The Hangover actor Ed Helms reported to star as Nielsen’s character Frank Drebin. However, in 2021, Neeson told People magazine that McFarlane and Paramount Studios approached him to star in The Naked Gun reboot. Now, roughly 14 years after reports of Naked Gun 4, The Naked Gun reboot has evolved from casting rumour to a sure thing.

According to Deadline, Neeson committed to starring in the role after being approached by MacFarlane, whom he worked with on other films like Ted 2, The Orville, and A Million Ways To Die In The West

The Naked Gun films, derived from the TV series Police Squad!, were high-water marks for slapstick comedy. They ran over six years: The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad (1988), The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear (1991) and Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994).

Auli’i Cravalho to voice for Moana in the Disney film's sequel

Actor Auli’i Cravalho will lend her voice to the titular character of Moana 2, the sequel to the 2016 animated film. This has ended the speculation about her involvement in the film. The casting also means that Cravalho will team up again with Dwayne Johnson, who will reprise the demigod Maui in the film.

This is the second biggest announcement related to the film after Disney's CEO, Robert Allen Iger, told CNBC that it would release on November 27 this year, a day before Thanksgiving.

The director of Moana 2 is Dave Derrick Jr., and the film has Emily Bear and Abigail Barlow as music composers, along with Opetaia Foa'i and Mark Mancina.

It is worth noting that the casting of Cravalho concerns the animated version of the film, not its live-action remake. Last May, Cravalho stated that she wouldn't take part in that live-action film to ensure that the casting correctly represents its story and characters. It has been eight years since the release of Moana, and Cravalho has become older.

Recently, she starred in the TV shows Rise, The Power, and Hailey’s on It!, as well as Paramount's Mean Girls retelling.

Jessica Chastain and Al Pacino to headline King Lear adaptation
