Director Shankar took to Twitter, on Sunday, to announce that he has begun working on the VFX for his upcoming film with Kamal Haasan, Indian 2. Sharing a photo of himself at the VFX studio, he wrote, “Scanning the advanced technology at Lola VFX, LA.”
Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 film, Indian. It is co-produced by Lyca Productions in association with Red Giant Movies. The upcoming film also features Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Siddharth, Guru Somasundaram, and Bobby Simha in prominent roles. The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while Ravi Varman handles the camera.
Meanwhile, Shankar is all set to make his debut as a director in Telugu with Game Changer. The film stars Kiara Advani alongside Ram Charan in the lead role. Karthik Subbaraj has written the story of Game Changer. The film also stars SJ Suryah, Anjali, Jayaram, Sunil, Srikanth, Nassar, and Samuthirakani among others in prominent roles.
