Directed by Ahmed, Iraivan is billed as a commercial entertainer. The glimpse hints that Jayam Ravi would be essaying a cop character. Iraivan will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Jayam Ravi has previously played cops in films like Thani Oruvan and Bogan.

Backed by Sudhan Sundaram and Jayaram G of Passion Studios, Iraivan has cinematography by Hari K Vedanth and editing by Manikanda Balaji.

Iraivan marks the second collaboration between Jayam Ravi and Ahmed after Jana Gana Mana, a big-budget spy thriller, which is yet to be completed. The film’s shoot got stalled halfway due to the pandemic-induced restrictions. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the composer for Jana Gana Mana as well.

On the work front, Jayam Ravi, who was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan 2, is also filming for Siren along with Keerthy Suresh. Nayanthara, on the other hand, is gearing up for her big Bollywood debut with the Atlee directorial Jawan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan in the lead.
