The recently conducted event to launch the first look of Vijay Sethupathi’s 50th film, Maharaja, had another interesting angle to it involving another Vijay.

Apart from the cast and crew of Maharaja, including Vijay Sethupathi and Abhirami, the event was also graced by 7Screen Studios’ Lalit Kumar, who is backing the much-anticipated Vijay film, Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

It is almost certain that any event attended by any member of the cast and crew of Leo isn’t complete with one of them letting in a nugget of information about the film. The latest to join this list of Team Leo who feed the update-hungry fans a solid piece of information is Lalit Kumar himself.

He said, “I have seen the first half of Leo, and I can assure you that it has come out very well. I called up Lokesh to say the same and also told him that editor Philomin Raj has done an excellent job. Lokesh jokingly reminded me that he was the director, and I was only praising Philomin.”

Philomin Raj, who is also editing Maharaja, is part of a strong technical crew of Nithilan Saminathan’s Maharaja, including cinematographer Dinesh Purushothaman, and composer Ajaneesh B Loknath.

Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, Maharaja stars Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Natty Natraj, Abhirami, Arul Doss, Munishkanth, Boys Manikandan, Singam Puli, Bharathiraja, Vinod Sagar, and PL Thenappan. The first look of Maharaja featured a bloodied Vijay Sethupathi with a bandaged ear and a machete, sitting on a saloon chair as a group of policemen look at the mess he has created.

Meanwhile, the star-studded Leo, boasting of an ensemble including the likes of Arjun, Sanjay Dutt, Trisha, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, and more, is slated for an October 19 release.
