Sai Pallavi mourns the demise of RS Shivaji

Condolences have been pouring from all quarters for actor RS Shivaji who passed away, on Saturday at the age of 66. He is the son of actor and producer MR Santhanam and the brother of Santhana Bharathi.

On Sunday, Sai Pallavi took to her official X handle mourning the demise of the actor. She wrote, “RS Shivaji sir…He was a teenager at heart, the warmest soul who sent positive msgs every morning and always brought smiles to those around. You’re dearly missed, sir. My deepest condolences to Raji and Aunty. May God give you strength and courage.”

RS Shivaji worked with Sai Pallavi in the critically acclaimed 2022 film, Gargi. The film revolves around Sai Pallavi’s Gargi, struggling to save her father, played by Shivaji, from a wrongful accusation of child sexual abuse. The film, helmed by Gautham Ramachandran, was very well received by the Tamil audiences. 

RS Shivaji frequently collaborated with Kamal Haasan and his banner Raaj Kamal Films International. The actor has collaborated with Kamal in many films, including Vikram (1986), Sathya, Michael Madana Kama Rajan, to name a few.

Of late, the actor also coupled with new-age actors and appeared in supporting roles. He was seen alongside Nayanthara in Kolamavu Kokila. He was last seen in Balaji Venugopal’s directorial debut, Lucky Man, starring Yogi Babu in the lead.
