Vijay Sethupathi's film with director Mysskin, titled Train, has officially gone on floors. The project is bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu's banner V Creations.
The film's first look was unveiled yesterday which had Vijay Sethupathi sporting a thick beard and a moustache. In the background, we can see railway tracks with trains approaching. Train is expected to be a thriller with unusually dark story elements.
The film’s shooting commenced post a pooja ceremony, which was attended by filmmaker Vetrimaaran, and actor and Nadigar Sangam President Nasser.
Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, Train also stars Dimple Hayati in a prominent role. Ira Dayanand, Nassar, Vinay Rai, Bhavana, Sampath Raj, Babloo Prithviraj, KS Ravikumar, Yugi Sethu, Ganesh Venkatraman, Kaniha, Diya Seetipalli, Singam Puli, Sriranjani, Ajay Rathnam, Thrigun Arun, and Raichal Rabecca are also part of the cast.
Fowzia Fathima will be cracking the camera, while Sri Watson will be working as the editor. Aside from directing, Mysskin will also compose the music for Train.
Mysskin and Vijay Sethupathi have previously collaborated in Pisasu II which is yet to see a release date. Vijay Sethupathi was last seen playing the role Kaalie Gaikwad in the Atlee-Shah Rukh Khan film Jawan. He will be seen next in Sriram Raghavan's thriller film Merry Christmas which is scheduled to release on 12 January 2024. He also has Viduthalai Part 2 and Maharaja in various stages of production.
Mysskin meanwhile was last seen in Vijay's Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. He last directed the psycho-thriller film Psycho in 2020.
